Easier access for workforce from EU countries

Since 2014 new regulations came into force regarding employees from EU countries.

EU citizens who come to work with a pre-approved employer can start working immediately on these conditions:

1. The employer must hold a valid pre-approval, issued by the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration.

2. The employee must have been offered a job of at least 30 hours per week.

3. The employee can start working on the condition that a certain form, FO/FA8 (in Danish only), has been completed and handed to the Police on his/her first day of work.

If an EU citizen is promised work with an employer who is not pre-approved, he/she can apply with the form FO/FA9 (in Danish only). In such cases the applicant must not start to work until a formal permit has been issued by the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration.
